If you are getting can not connect to the database error's when you goto your wordpress site do the folloowing to help resolve the issue.
1. Make sure the database user in your wp-config file is also set up as a user in your control panel.
2. Make sure you are using the correct user name and password in your config file.
3. Some plugins require PHP 5.6 or higher to function correctly, you can change the PHP version your account is using by going to Select PHP Version
in the software section of your control panel and selecting 5.6 from the drop down at the top of the page.
